Sunday

In Sunday, reality offers itself as a threshold rather than a defined landscape. The wet glass of the car turns vision into a moving surface, crossed by trails of water that dissolve contours and make the outer world a suspended presence — held between appearance and memory. The cypress trees, recognizable yet rarefied, emerge as points of orientation in an unstable field of vision, where photography renounces description and opens itself to suggestion.

The strength of the image lies precisely in this imperfect perception, which becomes a poetic language. The composition, built on horizontal bands of light and shadow, leads the eye into a space of waiting and passage, while reflection and distortion introduce a subtle tension between nearness and distance, interior and exterior. Sunday does not impose a single narrative; it invites the viewer into a precise emotional state — that of a slowed, intimate time in which memory and personal experience complete what the image deliberately chooses not to fully reveal.

Her Story

Andrea Polmüller, known as Andrea P, is a Hungarian-Italian photographer whose path began early: at nine she received her first camera and started capturing the moments she felt mattered. Two years later she made her first self-taught Polaroid images, already revealing an instinctive, deep relationship with the image as a form of attention and memory.

During classical high school, photography intertwined with piano study and a strong interest in music. That dialogue between sound and image left a clear imprint on her gaze, nurturing a sensitivity to rhythm, structure and visual harmony that still runs through her work. University studies in communication later widened her perspective, drawing her toward narrative language and journalism.

Over time she worked as a freelancer and developed a practice rooted in travel, the observation of different cultures, and portraits in which identity, context and memory coexist in balance. At twenty-seven she chose to dedicate herself fully to photography, training with notable photographers such as Herbst Rudolf and Márton Szipál, the celebrated Hollywood fashion photographer. She later specialized in wedding photography while always keeping an artistic approach.

Her research is marked by a vision in which narrative sensitivity and compositional rigor live together naturally. In collaboration with Herbst Rudolf she has also created projects for photographic exhibitions, and over time several of her works have been shown on various occasions.
